ASP was developed by two gentlemen at Microsoft who are Scott Guthrie and Mark Anders. ASP is a type of internet programming which makes it much easier to use because it is a simpler and more pared down way to code that reduces the amount of coding that needs to be done.
The program is special in its field because it is the first program which really reduces the amount of coding that is usually done by 70%. ASP saves a lot of time and coding which is great for those who are just starting out in this field and who do not entirely understand web coding. ASP can be used by dragging a database form to a web form and it creates a grid. Once you have that grid, you run the program and data fills the grid. From there, the ASP program pages and sorts the information.
ASP script language is a much easier alternative to other types of coding because it really reduces coding by a lot. ASP is great for a new developer who may not understand everything about fundamental coding but would still like to use this simpler version of coding to develop their website.
